Our Client based in Aldershot is looking for a Stores Person to join them
Job Title: Stores Person with FLT licence
Hours of Work: 40hrs/wk
7:00 – 16.30 Mon – Thurs (45-min lunch break) 7:00 – 12:00 Fri
Role Overview / requirements:
Day-to day management of Stores Department
Stores or warehouse experience would be advantageous
Ability to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
Self-starter, self-motivated
Good communication skills
Computer literacy essential. SAGE operating system in use. Knowledge of sage or similar operating systems advantageous
Methodical & Meticulous individual ensuring operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels
Well organised and focused on service delivery and receipt
Flexible. Late / early deliveries.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask
FLT licence
Clean driving licence beneficial
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and managing the day-to-day running of the department* To execute the receiving and dispatching of stock to and from customers, toolmakers and other suppliers
* OTD delivery of sales orders in line with order book using a range of couriers as per customer request or most economical.
Loading / offloading of materials and deliveries.
* Control of external stores (Off-site storage of bulk items)
* Liaising with other departments daily
* Issuing and receipt of consumables and non-stock items.
* Issuing and receipt of purchased and free issue inserts and tooling.
* Issuing and receipt of compounds in liaison with Mill shop team leader.
* Ensure all stock is booked in correctly, in timely manner and where require shelf life controlled.
* Distribution and control of consumables to the shop floor.
* Control of inventory. In date stock, operate all stock in accordance to FiFo.
* Packaging and storage of stock and parts pending dispatch.
Control of internal warehouse and storage areas. Lockable units and shelving. Inserts, consumables and materials.
* Maintain effective stock control at all times
* Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures
* Ensure Minimum and Maximum stock thresholds are maintained at all times where applicable notifying purchasing to any discrepancies
* Be responsible for accurate yearly Stock Take and monthly cycle counts
* Ensure department is efficient and organised at all times
* Daily internal mail run
